I’m Shannon McGriff, the owner of Power Events and Planning! I founded Power Events and Planning in 2017 after 12 + years of planning corporate events and meetings all over the country. My entry into the wedding world came from a corporate client who trusted me and enjoyed working together and wanted me to help plan their wedding. If I’m being honest, I was reluctant to plan weddings initially—but after planning that first wedding, I was hooked! I help each client make their unique wedding vision come to life, elevate the standards of weddings and events, and collaborate with professional, experienced vendors you can count on.
If I’m not working, you can usually find me trying new restaurants with friends, planning my next vacation, chasing my nieces, nephew and favorite dog around, or drinking a glass (or two…or three) of champagne. I’m a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and love college football.

Danielle Potts-Planner
I’m Danielle Potts, Planner for Power Events and Planning. I was thrilled when my sister, Shannon, asked me to help plan weddings and events and give this stay-at-home mom a chance to get back into the working world.
Before I became a stay at home mom to my twin girls and toddler boy, I was a classroom teacher for 7+ years. I love being organized and following a tight schedule, which is the only way my house functions with this many small children!
When I’m not taking orders from my older sister or tiny army of children, you can find me working out, bingeing ALL of Netflix, or reading books. I am also a proud graduate of Texas A&M University.
